Kastle Systems Int’l, a building and office security system provider, has been purchased by venture capitalist Mark Ein. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Kastle, founded by A. Gene Samburg in 1972, is the only national company that operates and manages its clients’ security systems on an ongoing basis. Samburg will continue to head the company as its CEO.

With headquarters in the Washington, D.C. area, Kastle operates regional offices in New York, Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Philadelphia, Chicago and Sydney, Australia. The company has around 475 employees and provides security services for more than 1,800 properties in the U.S. and Australia.

Ein, who is also the founder and CEO of Venturehouse Holdings, says he will look to infuse Kastle with more investment in domestic and foreign markets.

“With security concerns fueling increased demand for expert security services, we look forward to Kastle growing and expanding to meet our clients’ urgent needs, not only in the United States but also internationally,” Ein says.

Prior to forming Venturehouse, Ein was a principal with The Carlyle Group and an associate with Goldman Sachs and Brentwood Associates.
