Keynote Speaker Named for Corporate Security Roundtable
ALEXANDRIA, Va.
The Security Industry Association has announced Gregory
Akers, senior vice president and chief technology officer
for global government solutions and corporate strategic
security programs at Cisco Systems Inc., will be the
keynote speaker for the 2005 Corporate Security Roundtable
(CSR).
The roundtable titled, “Redefining Security – Achieving a Balance,” will be held from Feb. 6-8 at the San Diego Omni Hotel.
Akers’ background is in information security, intellectual property protection, security solution certifications and cyber-warfare. He was also the president of the IT-Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC) in 2002.
Akers will address the integration between physical and IT security systems and prepare customer for next generation of networked physical security devices.
