King-Monital and the International Dispatch Center(r) (IDC() of Minnesota have agreed in principle to a corporate merger and expect to finalize the transaction immediately. Adding IDC’s accounts to King-Monital’s customer base creates a new organization servicing more than 5,000 dealers with a half a million accounts through eight North American locations, including five redundant UL-Listed central stations.

“This alliance will bring a vast array of exciting new products to a large number of dealers very quickly. We’re very excited about the innovations and enhancements that will take place as a result of joining our companies,” comments Tom Few Sr., chairman and CEO of King-Monital. “The markets are dictating that dealers need to be full-service information providers and we will provide them with that infrastructure.”

IDC has been a developer of new security products and services for many years, including wireless applications and new technologies. “We are excited about the strength of the King-Monital organization and its ability to leverage the development we’ve been working on,” states Curtis Quady, president of IDC. “Other than the products and services being rolled out, the new organization will continue to operate as before.” King, Monital and IDC will be jointly exhibiting at ISC East.
