Koorsen Fire & Security Acquires Columbus-Based Security Integrator

Koorsen Fire & Security, a privately held fire and security integrator in the Midwest and Southeast, has acquired Columbus-based Ohio Electronic Protection (OEP).

“OEP has demonstrated a history of success to its clients in the Columbus area,” says Skip Sampson, vice president of security integration at Koorsen. “We are excited that Curt Wellington, OEP president, and the OEP team will become a part of the Koorsen family. Together, we expect substantial growth for Koorsen Fire & Security in the Ohio marketplace.”

Koorsen provides security and fire services in 20 locations, from Indiana to Florida. The company is a member of Security-Net, an international network of independent security specialists.

OEP was founded in 1993 and is primarily a business supplier of fire, security, access, camera products and services. The company has 13 employees and provides services throughout Ohio.
