CLEVELAND

Lehman Brothers has released its 2006 Security Industry Annual Report, which contains 161 tables and charts along with information on the size of key market sectors, projected growth to 2008, technological advances and market drivers.

Authored by Lehman Brothers Senior Vice President Jeff Kessler, the company says the report is useful for suppliers and investors when measuring the market, developing business plans, updating valuations and learning a new perspective on the industry.

The report provides detailed perspectives on homeland security, video, RFID, access control, systems integration and armoring markets. Also featured are new metrics for valuating alarm monitoring, plus the report brings to light public and private companies that are influencing change in the security marketplace.

Kessler writes: “Security sectors that we feel are particularly well positioned over the next five years include video surveillance, private prisons, physical services and identification including background, automated and biometric.”
