Leviton Manufacturing Co., a manufacturer of voice and data solutions, announced it has acquired Fiber Connect Inc., a Chicago-based provider of data center fiber-optic solutions.
With this acquisition, Leviton extends its fiber solutions to a wider audience of distributors, contractors and end users, with increased technical support for plug-n-play fiber and data center applications, according to a company statement.
“Data center infrastructure spending is growing rapidly and increasing in complexity,” says Don Hendler, president of Leviton. “We have worked with Fiber Connect over the past few years and we look forward to bringing the benefits of a broad, high-performance solution to Leviton’s customers worldwide.”
Fiber Connect is a wholly owned subsidiary and reports to Leviton’s Voice and Data Division, which is led by Ross Goldman, vice president and general manager.
