ARCADIA, Calif. — LILIN Americas announces the release of the MR652 2MP outdoor IP camera. Housed in an IP66-rated casing, LILIN says the solution is a cost-effective fixed lens camera well-suited for use in exposed outdoor locations that require 24/7 monitoring such as parking lots, public spaces and convenience stores.

The MR652 is a professional surveillance camera that delivers full HD 1080p video at up to 30 frames per second (fps) and features a turret-style design — a first for LILIN — that achieves the same quality imagery of a dome camera, but without the IR bounce caused by the glass housing, according to the company.

To prevent IR bounce, flat IR glass is positioned to the side of the lens to capture clear night-vision at a distance of up to 30 meters (98 feet). It supports true day/night recording enhanced by infrared LED.

Low-light capability is further improved by LILIN SenseUP Plus technology, which is said to heighten the sensitivity of the CMOS sensor to help maintain color video in extremely low light, resulting in higher quality images in challenging conditions.

The MR652 also features wide dynamic range (WDR) and H.264 compression.

Lilin says its compact, lightweight footprint, combined with Power over Ethernet (PoE) for power and network connectivity via a single cable, results in faster, more cost-efficient installations with added flexibility in mounting location choices.
