Linear LLC has expanded its entry systems capability with
the acquisition of Operator Specialty Company (OSCO), a
maker of residential and commercial gate and door opener
systems. OSCO, headquartered in Casnovia, Mich.,
manufactures models for the automatic operation of swing,
barrier, and slide gates, as well as commercial and
industrial slide/swing doors.
“This acquisition rounds out our access equipment offering
in a very logical way for our current customer base, and
also provides immediate opportunities for expanding that
base,” says Linear CEO Grant Rummell.
The OSCO line will be represented in the field by Linear’s
existing entry systems sales network. OSCO founder Jerry
Turpiano will retire and COO Bill Hildebrand will assume
the position of president.
