Linear Corp. has purchased GTO Inc., a manufacturer of automatic gate operators for the professional security market. The Tallahassee, Fla.-based firm also sells the Do-It-Yourself Mighty Mule E-Z Gate Openers program, sold through national retail stores.
Linear Chairman Grant Rummell says GTO is a good fit for Linear’s entry systems business and that the line will expand the firm’s gate opener offerings marketed under Linear/OSCO.
“The GTO line complements related products that we make, including garage door operators, access control systems and radio controls,” says Rummell.
GTO will remain under its own management on an operations basis.
