The PERS-4200 system by Linear of Carlsbad, Calif., is a personal emergency reporting system (PERS) that extends transmission range and expands wireless capabilities, according to the company.
The device features an increased transmission range of 1,000 feet for larger living areas and multilingual software suites in English, Spanish and French. “Smart” system trouble and inactive user alerts can be set along with a variety of customizable alerts, prerecorded reminders and appointment messages.
Users can further customize systems with add-on modules, giving systems and installations the ability to stay up-to-date with future advances in technology. Initial module releases include a plug-in 3G cellular module that allows the PERS-4200 to work in homes without analog phone lines.
The product also offers turnkey programming, USB port for local programming, real-time diagnostics, upgradable firmware and remote transmitter enrolling. All Linear PERS and household transmitters are compatible with the new system.
