Long Grove Village, Ill., Focuses on False Alarm Education and Awareness

LONG GROVE VILLAGE, Ill.—In 1999, Long Grove Village police responded to 655 alarms, of which only three were legitimate. Village officials, with the help of the Department of Professional Regulations, are exploring security companies’ client education policies. The Village may also distribute material to residents to educate them about the problem.
