KENNESAW, Ga. — Security provider LOUD Security Systems, Inc., SSI’s 2023 Installer of the Year, has announced the promotion of Eric Widner to chief operating officer.

Widner most recently served as general manager and will now oversee companywide operations “during a period of significant growth and transformation for the organization,” according to the company announcement.

The promotion “comes at a pivotal moment for LOUD Security Systems,” as the company continues to expand through strategic acquisitions, workforce growth and infrastructure investment, including the development of a new corporate headquarters and the addition of a second regional location in Warner Robins, Ga.

Widner began his career with LOUD in 2003 as a low-voltage technician, entering the industry with no prior security experience and learning the business from the ground up. He was promoted to operations manager in 2006, where he helped strengthen internal processes and support the company’s early growth.

In 2015, Widner was named general manager, assuming responsibility for companywide operations and cross-departmental leadership.

Why Did LOUD Security Systems Promote Eric Widner?

“Eric’s leadership has been instrumental to LOUD’s success for more than two decades,” says John Loud, president and owner of LOUD Security Systems, in the company announcement.

“From navigating the housing downturn of 2007 to 2010 to guiding our teams through the challenges of COVID and supply chain disruptions to helping us adapt to rapid changes in security technology and consumer expectations, Eric has consistently demonstrated the operational vision and steady leadership this role demands,” he says.

As chief operating officer, Widner is “positioned to navigate increasing changes in technology and lead the company’s continued growth across both residential and commercial markets,” according to the LOUD Security announcement.

“As the industry continues to evolve, our focus remains on staying relevant, responsive, and reliable for our customers,” says Widner in the announcement. “I’m proud of how our team has navigated change, and I’m excited to help lead LOUD into its next phase of growth while preserving the culture and service standards that define who we are.”

Widner is active in the community, where he and his wife operate StrideKidz, a nonprofit running club for children focused on developing leadership, self-esteem and healthy living. He is a 2022 graduate of Leadership Cobb, and currently serves on the board of trustees for Chattahoochee Technical College and the board of advisors for the Georgia Veterans Day Association.
