Magnetic Contact Is Impervious to Deliberate or Inadvertent Damage

Published: October 31, 2005

The TANE-66 track-mounted overhead door contact manufactured by Tane Alarm Products of New Hyde Park, N.Y., allows the installer to use a commercial-grade contact without fear of it being accidentally or inadvertently knocked off due to vandalism or normal operations. This contact attaches to the roller track of the door.
The adjustable magnet can be installed in a number of ways to allow for maximum gap.

According to Tane, the advantage of this is that the contact is out of harm’s way and can be mounted as high or low as needed.
