FRISCO, Texas — The Electronic Security Association (ESA) has appointed Maria Malice as its representative for the Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC) board of directors. Malice will replace John Knox, who has served on the SIAC board for the past six years and recently became president of ESA.
Malice is vice president of special projects for C.O.P.S. Monitoring and is the current president of the Arizona Alarm Association (AzAA), where she has served as a board member since 1992.
As president of AzAA, Malice has battled some of the most pressing issues facing the alarm industry. Most recently, she was successful in winning a state licensing law for alarm dealers, allowing them to operate with one statewide license.
“We are very excited to have Maria join the SIAC Board of Directors,” SIAC Executive Director Stan Martin says. “Maria and her employer, C.O.P.S. Monitoring, have demonstrated a real commitment to our industry and the customers we protect.”
