NEW ORLEANS — A man who had been selling security systems and services for ADT Security and Protection 1 pled guilty on Thursday to wire fraud, U.S. Attorney Kenneth A. Polite announced.
Court records say Wayne Williams of River Ridge forged customer signatures on security system contracts without the companies’ knowledge, as detailed in a KSLA report.

According to prosecutors, Williams forged a customer’s signature for an ADT Security equipment and installation service contract that totaled $466,046.18. He forged another signature on a separate contract, this one for $109.148.93. Williams received $73,576.72 in commission as a result of the contract.
With Protection 1, Williams forged a contract worth $80,240.48, receiving $2,353.99 in commission.
For each count, Williams faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, three years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine. Sentencing is set for March 8, 2016.
