March Networks Corp., a developer, manufacturer and distributor of interactive, broadband IP applications and delivery platforms, has partnered with NCR Corp. to deliver more than $5 million of March Networks’ digital video recording (DVR) systems to two of the largest banks in the United States. NCR, the only diamond-level partner in March Networks’ Certified Solutions Partner program, combines its E-business infrastructure network service knowledge with March Networks’ DVR products for a scalable IP video offering.

The NCR banking customers, who are in the process of implementing the new systems, will use the DVRs as an alternative to traditional VCR systems used for ATM and premise monitoring. “We see the fact that banks are now embracing manageable IP video as an absolute validation of the tremendous market opportunity that lies ahead for us,” says Peter Wilenius, vice president and general manger, security and monitoring products for March Networks. “As a true global player that understands networking issues, NCR offers unmatched capabilities to capitalize on these opportunities with integration services on a worldwide scale.”

According to the company, moving to a digital solution that is integrated with ATMs offers banks and other organizations immediate transaction dispute resolution with instant access to accurate and reliable video records and lower operational costs.
