WORCESTER, Mass. — Integrator American Alarm & Communications has increased its presence in Massachusetts after agreeing to merge with Auburn, Mass.’ Argus Alarm.

The husband and wife team of Kenneth and Kristine Gorczynski founded Argus in the early 1970s and say they made the sale to pursue “personal endeavors.” Kenneth will remain with American Alarm in sales, while Kristine will retire.

The Argus Alarm merger follows American Alarm’s October purchase of Arlington, Mass.’ Crystal Alarm and the July 2003 merger with Alphatronics Security Inc. Founded in 1972 by Richard Sampson, who is currently president of the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA), American Alarm has more than 16,000 residential and commercial customers and operates a UL-Listed central station located in the former Arlington, Mass., Police headquarters.”
