Matrix Systems Supports the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland

CLEVELAND

Matrix Systems, a Dayton, Ohio-based provider of turnkey access control solutions, is donating a one-year service contact to the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland, which provides affordable housing and support services for families during their child’s hospitalization.

For 16 years Matrix has been the primary access control equipment and service provider for the 37,000-square-foot Cleveland facility, which is one of 300 Ronald McDonald Houses in 20 countries.

The Matrix Systems access control solution generates magnetic stripe, photo ID cards that residents use to gain access to internal and external entry doors at the house, which serves primarily the nearby University Hospital and Cleveland Clinic hospitals.

“As a home-away-from-home for many children and their families, we want our residents to feel as safe as if they were in their own houses,” says Mark Destino, resident manager of the Cleveland facility. “Because of their children’s hospitalization and treatment plans, families have odd schedules while staying here. Therefore, Matrix Systems’ [access control software program] is vital in also allowing us to analyze and keep track of residents through usage reports.”
