One of the highest security prisons in the United States recently ordered 75 units of the EX36 infrared camera by Extreme CCTV Inc. of Vancouver, B.C., Canada. According to Extreme CCTV, the EX36 is currently in use in similar prisons around the world, including a prison in Iraq.

The EX36MNX version is a color/monochrome camera with excellent performance under both visible lighting and infrared illumination.  Its wide field of view and 45-degree tilt enables it to monitor an entire 15 foot X 15 foot room, including underneath the camera itself.

According to Extreme CCTV, the EX36 is virtually indestructible and is specified for use by the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
