MDI Inc., manufacturer and integrator of security technology solutions, and ASSA ABLOY, an access control hardware manufacturer, have partnered to target the national educational security market under the Learn Safe™ School Safety and Security Program.

MDI is the primary partner and exclusive security products and professional services provider to the Learn Safe campus security program. Under the terms of the agreement, ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions will be the preferred product line for access control hardware in school security engagements as part of the Learn Safe program.

Thousands of school districts across the country have deployed ASSA ABLOY’s products to secure buildings and infrastructures. As a Learn Safe partner, ASSA ABLOY will leverage its national sales team, specializing in the educational market vertical, to assist in growing program adoption. MDI will train sales personnel and support business development initiatives by ASSA ABLOY to promote Learn Safe into its existing educational channels, which will include schools, school systems and school districts, according to the company.

The partnership calls for MDI and ASSA ABLOY to engage in co-marketing arrangements and also to co-promote the Learn Safe program, presenting “school security best practices” at numerous school industry shows and conferences scheduled throughout the year.
