MDI to Acquire Advanced Security Link

SAN ANTONIO

Security integrator and manufacturer MDI Inc. has announced a definitive agreement to acquire privately held Advanced Security Link (ASL) of Costa Mesa, Calif. ASL, a manufacturer of video surveillance systems, will provide the foundation for MDI’s network-based integrated security and surveillance solutions, according to the company.

ASL’s flagship product, Remote Watch™ Network Digital Video Recorder (NDVR), is a modular digital video management system that allows the product to expand from the basic entry-level for small applications to an enterprise video solution.

MDI says that ASL’s technology will integrate with the firm’s SAFEnet product, which is an open architecture security platform.
