Detection Systems appoints David Anderson vice president of global product management for its intrusion products. He has more than 15 years of experience in the security industry, and was with Newmark Technology before joining the company.

Ultrak Inc. appoints Rufus Bond Gunning COO of the company. Gunning will oversee the company’s daily activities and its worldwide operations. His focus will be on returning Ultrak to profitability.In other company news, Niklaus Zenger has been elected chairman of the board and joint CEO. George Brady will serve as joint CEO and vice chariman of the board.

Mark Freundlich was named vice president of business development for ASSA ABLOY’s Identification Technology Group’s (ITG) Card Manufacturing Center of Excellence. Freundlich was previously president of Visonic U.S.A.

Videolarm Inc. has hired David Krysh as vice president of sales and marketing. Krysh’s responsibilities will include overseeing both the sales and marketing departments, and handling new product development and launches.
