KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Micro Key Solutions has promoted Luis Ortega to chief technology officer.
In his new role, Ortega will be responsible for researching new technologies and applying them to original and innovative products designed to increase the efficiency and profitability of Micro Key’s users. Additionally, he will make customer visits to observe existing workflows and determine which labor intensive areas can be automated.
Ortega joined the company in 2000 as a software engineer, and served as a contributor in the development of software enhancements to Micro Key’s Millennium Series software. In 2004, he worked as director of programming, where he scheduled, oversaw and implemented all new software enhancements for the company.
