LAS VEGAS — Security industry veteran George Fletcher, a co-founder of Mission 500, riveted the audience at Security Sales & Integration’s SAMMY Awards on April 1 while detailing the nonprofit initiative’s work to serve the needs of children and communities in crisis.
Fletcher’s touching Powerpoint® presentation included video segments featuring Mission 500 advisory council members discussing how we all can be catalysts to make the world a better place. Among the industry stalwarts featured in the segments were Alan Forman, Les Gold and Ron Spiller.
Representatives from a handful of companies in attendance were moved to make donations to Mission 500 on the spot.
The volunteer nonprofit group, led by security industry leaders, is working toward a goal of sponsoring 500 children through the World Vision program, a humanitarian organization that provides emergency relief, economic development and other services in communities around the world.
