With a Mitsubishi Electronic Corp. security system set for a December release, Japanese homeowners will be able to observe intruders via cell phone and remotely sound an alarm with hopes to scare them away.

According to Mitsubishi, the user will be notified by E-mail should a security camera catch a suspicious figure in or around the property.

The homeowner could access the image on a designated Web site, and then choose to sound an alarm if necessary.

The system will include a digital recorder/security camera, a security light and an alarm for a flat rate, with a monthly service charge imposed also.
