NEW YORK – Mobiscope, a video surveillance and home monitoring startup, just introduced a cloud-based DVR service, which allows customers to record, store and access footage from surveillance cameras on mobile devices.
Mobiscope Cloud – a Video Surveillance as a Service (VSaaS) solution – eliminates the need to install a recording device locally and instead processes and stores video from onsite camera feeds in the cloud. Video can be accessed from the customer’s Android or iOS device or any Web-enabled browser. The system can be set up in minutes from customer’s smartphone or tablet, according to the company.
Mobiscope features include automatic configuration of many network cameras; motion detection alerts delivered with instant notifications; up to one month of secure and backed up cloud video storage; simultaneous access from multiple devices; and more.
Mobiscope Cloud subscription plans are structured around the number of cameras a customer wants to monitor simultaneously and video archive capacity, starting at $9.95 per month. Both iOS and Android apps offer free evaluation periods.
