Monitor America Earns UL Listing

Published: July 30, 2013

MOONACHIE, N.J. — Monitor America has earned a UL listing as a central station monitoring facility for its 25,000-square-foot, full-service central station here.

The company, which began full operations in June, offers cloud-based business-to-business, enterprise-level and residential services ranging from hosted video and access control, virtual security tours, video concierge services, video escorting, and real-time event reporting to PERS services, intrusion, video monitoring and video verification of alarms.

“Becoming UL listed is a milestone for Monitor America and its goal of being the most advanced central station for alarm services in the nation,” says Jay Stuck, a spokesman for the company. “The UL listing means Monitor America has the trained personnel, equipment and integrity to provide a world-class service for our customers.”

Since its debut last November at ISC East, Stuck says the company has signed several new dealers and has generated much interest with enterprise-level security directors who are interested in the firm’s video services. In the near future, Monitor America plans to create a dealer network dedicated to commercial sales and is also looking to make acquisitions.
