National Monitoring Center (NMC) has been granted a UL listing as a central station monitoring facility for its new 10,000-square-foot building in Aliso Viejo, Calif. The company began monitoring accounts on Jan. 7 after being formed Oct. 15, 2001.
A UL-Listed central monitoring station is defined as a monitoring facility that demonstrates the ability to comply with UL standards for service. For central stations, UL requirements dictate the nature of the building structure, receiving and monitoring equipment, staffing, installation and future service. To achieve Standards Complying Service, all requirements must be met at all times.
Michael Schubert, president of NMC, says, “We made a commitment to providing the highest quality of service to our dealers and their subscribers, and obtaining our UL Listing confirms we have established a high standard in our new facility. The investments in the facility — [which include] the very best equipment available — and, most importantly, the personnel with technical and industry expertise have resulted in our receiving this UL Listing in less than three months after we began monitoring accounts.”
The station’s UL Listing number is S8126 Advanced Protection Industries Inc. , dba National Monitoring Center (NMC). The company is also seeking Factory Mutual Approval in order to support dealers providing commercial fire systems.
