Monitronics, CompUSA Partner

Monitronics Int’l and CompUSA have partnered to make Monitronics the exclusive provider of security alarm systems for CompUSA’s customers. This is the first national retail program to promote the Monitronics brand. Customers can find information about Monitronics’ line of products through CompUSA’s in-store kiosks or its Web site.

Both locations offer a connection to the Monitronics’ Web site, which contains information and pricing on a variety of alarm system packages. Customers ordering from home can submit requests to purchase one of the packages, where the transaction is sent to an authorized dealer in that customer’s area.

“Home monitoring is such a huge industry and one that retail has not played a big part in,” said Daniel Perrone, director of digital services for CompUSA. “CompUSA wants to give the consumer a friendly and comfortable place to go to experience and sign up for home monitoring service.”

Jim Hull, Monitronics’ president and CEO, said the partnership with CompUSA is one of the first components of a plan to expand Monitronics’ customer leads program for its authorized dealers. “Our goal at Monitronics is to increase business by providing our dealers more quality leads,” he said. “This is just one step of many to come in that direction.”
