Motorola Solutions to Unveil New Video Surveillance Solutions During Virtual Summits

The North America summit will take place Oct. 6-7 and feature the introduction of three new cameras from Avigilon: the H5 Pro, H5A p/t/z and H5A corner camera.

CHICAGO — Motorola Solutions will be announcing the latest additions to its video security and analytics portfolio at upcoming virtual experience events around the world.

“We are committed to providing meaningful solutions that, through the use of advanced analytics and AI, improve public safety and deliver on business outcomes for our enterprise customers,” says John Kedzierski, senior vice president, video security & analytics at Motorola Solutions. “The technologies we are showcasing throughout these virtual experiences will help our customers gain greater situational awareness, empowering them to make better informed decisions in any environment.”

Motorola Solutions’ Avigilon H5 camera platform is introducing three new cameras, including the H5 Pro, the H5A pan/tilt/zoom (p/t/z) and the H5A corner camera.

Each of the three cameras is embedded with next-generation video analytics for enhanced objection detection, tracking and classification, unusual activity detection (UAD), a number of pandemic response technologies and support for FIPS 140-2 certified cryptography and Avigilon Appearance Search technology to proactively flag critical events for quicker, decisive responses, according to the company.

Features for each camera include:

  • Avigilon H5 Pro camera: Equipped with a 61MP sensor and 10K HD resolution, Avigilon says the H5 Pro camera delivers stunning image detail, simultaneously providing maximum scene coverage, while minimizing bandwidth and storage consumption through its patented high definition stream management (HDSM) 2.0 technology.

  • Avigilon H5A P/T/Z: Provides security operators with 360° views in 2, 4 and 8 MP. The camera delivers images with up to 36x zoom, making it well-suited for critical infrastructure, public safety, sports and leisure, commercial buildings, transportation, and large open areas (e.g. parking lots) to help ensure critical events do not go unnoticed.

  • Avigilon H5A corner camera: An anti-ligature and no-grip solution that is purpose-built to withstand harsh attempts to destroy, detach, attack or disable it. This vandal-resistant camera is particularly suited for facilities such as hospitals or correctional facilities. If the camera is ever damaged, part replacements such as the lens or covers are simple using conventional tools, according to the company. Facilities will not have to remove the entire camera from its location for repairs, minimizing the camera’s downtime.

Other Motorola Solutions products to be showcased include the L5F fixed license plate recognition camera system, a mobile video-as-a-service bundle the VB400 body-worn camera.

The North America showcase will take place Oct. 6-7 and also feature product demos and speaker sessions. Learn more here.

  1. I would love to see in the showcase how they hold the recording for scrubbing through past events, as long as it isn’t a cloud based system and an actual hard cased serve then I am all for this.
