An acquisition-shopping spree will allow Nashville’s ADS Security LP to move into the Florida market for the first time. ADS has announced it is purchasing First Coast Security of Savannah, Ga., as well as more than 900 additional accounts from three security companies in the Alabama and Georgia markets. The purchase price for the acquisitions was not disclosed.

Along with the First Coast purchase, ADS announced on March 17 it had acquired commercial and residential accounts from Westco Security Systems of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., as well as accounts from Prattville, Ala.’s Advantage Fire & Security and Scottsboro, Ala.’s Ultimate Security.

“The purchases are in keeping with our continued focus on the southeast region and on small and middle-sized markets,” said ADS President and CEO Mel Mahler.

The operations of First Coast will be moved into ADS’ existing office in Savannah. First Coast’s owner, Larry Hartley, has joined ADS as operations manager.
