National Homeland Security Expo to Highlight Video Surveillance Applications, Technologies

NEWPORT, R.I.

An exposition in Washington, D.C. to inform federal procurement agents and members of the U.S. Congress of the homeland security applications for its remote video network technologies, products and solutions will take place July 10 at the Dirksen Senate office building.

The Small Business Homeland Security Expo 2002 will be co-chaired by Senators Christopher Bond (R-MO) and John Kerry (D-MA). The expo will be designed to help key leaders in government recognize the potential of small firms to play a major role in achieving national security goals.

The expo provides an opportunity for 50 select companies from around the nation to showcase their products with critical applications for strengthening homeland security. In addition to the company exhibits, Tom Ridge, director of the Office of Homeland Security and Hector Barreto, administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, will deliver remarks during the Expo.

The Public Forum Institute is coordinating the Expo as part of a series of activities on small businesses. For more information on the Expo, or about the Forum, visit www.publicforuminstitute.org.
