NBFAA Accepts Arizona as State-Chartered Chapter

Published: November 18, 2008

The National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) welcomes the Arizona Alarm Association (AzAA) as a state-chartered chapter after a unanimous vote by the board of directors.

“NBFAA gave our board a presentation about the benefits of being a chapter and after seeing it and hearing what they had to say, we felt the time was right to become a chartered chapter,” says Steve Compton, president, AzAA. “The AzAA board recognizes that this relationship will increase our professionalism and enhance our members’ resources.”

As a chartered chapter, the AzAA will be part of collaborative efforts with other chapters in working to advance the security industry through legislation, best practices and national exposure.

“We’re pleased that AzAA wanted to join the NBFAA as a chartered chapter and we welcome them whole-heartedly,” says NBFAA President Mike Miller. “The industry will benefit from an even stronger alliance as Arizona joins 30 other chartered chapters of NBFAA. We look forward to working with them and their members.”
