The National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) is
encouraging its members to contribute to Asia tsunami
relief efforts. In a letter to its membership, the NBFAA
has issued a “challenge” to donate to charities aiding the
millions of victims of the Dec. 26 earthquake-spawned
tsunamis that left more than 170,000 dead and more that 5
million people homeless.

The letter was written by NBFAA President Scot Colby
and Executive Director Merlin Guilbeau, who each say they
are donating $100 to tsunami relief.

“These charities are helping to get food, water and other
assistance to the tsunami victims,” the letter reads. “Our
donations will play an important role in supporting the
rebuilding efforts abroad and any and all help is
appreciated.”
The letter encourages members and others in the security
industry to go to the USA Freedom Corps Web site at HREF=http://www.usafreedomcorps.gov>www.usafreedomcorps.gov
