National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) Executive Director Merlin Guilbeau has been appointed to the International Code Council’s (ICC) Industry Advisory Committee (IAC). NBFAA President-Elect George Gunning has been appointed as the NBFAA alternate.
“This appointment demonstrates the NBFAA’s commitment to the development of standardized codes that benefit consumers, public safety and our industry. It is important that we work with those organizations that develop building code standards in order to understand trends and to voice opinions,” Guilbeau said.
The NBFAA joins a large list of associations, companies and agencies that work with the IAC, including the American Petroleum Institute, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
