NBFAA Extends Entry Deadline for First Line of Defense Award

The National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (NFBAA) has extended the entry deadline for its 2008 First Line of Defense award program to March 14.

Established in 1999, the award honors dealers, central stations and emergency authorities that have demonstrated outstanding performance in deterring, detecting or preventing crime and/or loss through the effective design, use and response to security and fire alarm systems.

The winning company will win a free trip to the inaugural Electronic Security Expo (ESX) in Nashville, Tenn., in June and receive coverage in NBFAA’s quarterly magazine, Newsline.

“I would encourage everyone to think back over the last year and submit their stories. Even just submitting the story is worthwhile because it gives owners and managers a chance to thank their employees and to remind them of the enormous responsibility they have every day in protecting the people of our country,” says Wells Sampson of American Alarm and Communications Inc., a former First Line of Defense winner.

For more information on the award program or to nominate your company, visit NBFAA’s Web site or call (888) 447-1689.
