Panasonic Security Systems and Allen Security & Consulting of Wendell, N.C., have joined together to sponsor a student essay contest at three Raleigh, N.C., schools.
Students from Wakelon Elementary School, East Wake Academy and Zebulon GT Magnet Middle School were assigned to write an essay on what security meant to them. Twenty students received MP3 players from Panasonic as a prize for the best essays.
“This contest has gained popularity and generated quite a local buzz,” says Barry Allen, president of Allen Security & Consulting.
“These essays written by these children provide valuable insight as to their perception of security, while letting them know there are people and companies at work dedicated to help preserve their safety,” says Frank DeFina, president of Panasonic System Solutions Company.
