A new awards program is being introduced at ISC West that is designed to recognize alarm installing and monitoring companies for establishing practices that help prevent false alarms. Security Sales & Integration and Honeywell Security are co-sponsors of the Police Quality Dispatch (PDQ) Award, which is being announced to the public at an April 7 news conference by the Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC) and the False Alarm Reduction Association (FARA) in Las Vegas.
“All of us recognize that for security systems to provide optimal protection for users, they must be installed properly, their owners must understand how to use them and they must be monitored and answered in a timely manner,” says SIAC Executive Director Stan Martin.
The news conference will take place in the Sands Expo and Convention Center’s Lower Level Room 1003 at 11 a.m.
The winning alarm company will receive its award from a law enforcement representative at a ceremony in their town and have representatives receive an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas for next year’s ISC West to present their success story at the 2006 SAMMY Awards. They will also be honored in a feature story in SSI.
Look for information in the coming months in SSI magazine of how your company can enter the PDQ Award program.
