A new addition to the security industry, SafetyCare, Inc., was opened in late February as a one-stop security support company. SafetyCare was designed to be a holistic security provider, with services such as family crisis intervention, video monitoring, wellness and fitness counseling, two-way audio verification, and voice communication.
Also included is the Web-based Expanded Neighborhood Watch, which helps members track down lost children or pets. SafetyCare also monitors fires, carbon monoxide and intrusions as part of the service.
SafetyCare’s President and CEO Glenn Fischer, a principal player in the growth of King Alarm Inc. and King Central, developed the idea. Fischer says he found many consumers had a fairly low opinion of current security monitoring measures and were pleased to learn they could receive better services for the same basic fees.
“By combining the efficiencies of contemporary monitoring technology with a unique mix of comprehensive family safety and wellness services, we are able to provide members with peace of mind and support that was not previously possible,” Fischer said in a statement.
Named as the new group’s executive vice president is Peter Giacalone, who has more than 25 years of industry experience and was formerly the COO for King Central.
Fischer plans to grow the company in the future by implementing services in its current locale over the next several years and follow that by establishing facilities in other carefully selected regions of the country.
