New Jersey District Receives Grant for Security Cameras

ENGLEWOOD, N.J. — The North Jersey Educational Insurance Fund awarded a $25,763 safety grant to Englewood school district. The grant will allow the district to purchase additional security cameras for its schools.

The district will install approximately 30 exterior and interior cameras in the coming year, mostly at its elementary schools and middle school, NorthJersey.com reports. The cameras are Internet protocol cameras, meaning they are accessible from any of the school buildings. Police will also have full access to the cameras.

The cameras are part of an overall security system which includes multi-frequency portable radios and active security personnel.
