New Orleans’ CCTV Imports to Raise Funds for Local Children’s Hospital

COVINGTON, La.
Published: January 22, 2006

Being within the New Orleans metropolitan area, video
security distributor CCTV Imports was hard hit by Hurricane
Katrina. Now that the company is back on its feet and
thriving again, it plans on giving back to areas of the
storm-ravaged community still trying to recover from the
largest natural disaster in U.S. history.

CCTV Imports will be hosting a fund-raiser on March 25 to
benefit New Orleans Children’s Hospital.

The hospital was one of the many businesses severely
impacted by Hurricane Katrina with losses and damages
totaling around $40 million. It was able to successfully
evacuate all 100 patients to other regional children’s
hospitals, but lost four of its five primary clinics.

The hospital recently reopened, making it just one of just
two operational hospitals in the New Orleans area. Without
state funding, the facility functions on donations alone.
