New Paradox Keypad Wins Best Burglary Product Award at CANASA Show

MONTREAL

Paradox Security System’s new LCD keypad, Grafica, won the
5th Annual Dealer’s Choice Award for best product and
presentation in the burglary category at the Oct. 22-24
Canadian Alarm and Security Association (CANASA) Central
Exhibition in Toronto. Grafica was one of many security
products showcased at CANASA’s Central exhibit.

Paradox says Grafica is the only keypad to instantly locate open zones on floor-plan drawings. This feature eliminates having to scroll through zone after zone to determine where the security system is open. With Grafica, users can see where a problem is directly on the LCD keypad. “My decision came down to its combination of functionality, ease of use, design and the indisputable amount of research that went into its creation,” said Daniel Courteau, high technology and industrial sales director at Protectron Security Systems and one of the seven judges in the burglary category.

Company officials said the concept for Grafica originated almost three years ago and is based on the concept of a cellular phone. “What we really wanted was a keypad that wouldn’t require a manual,” said Stéphane Lauzon, one of the LCD keypad’s creators.
