New Security Networking Class Debuts in Louisiana

METAIRIE, La.

National Training School (NTS) has constructed a new course
that provides technicians, salespeople and project managers
with the experience to utilize networked devices in their
installations. Students in the Security Networking
Institute are given experience using live, networked
devices, cables and other accessories.

There is training in all aspects of network security devices including network cameras, access control, video servers and Wi-Fi communications.

Dale Eller, education and standards Director of the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA), says, “Networking is an extremely cutting-edge topic given all of the changes and advances manufacturers are introducing with IT-based security equipment.”

The first course, held in Metairie, La. on Sept. 23 and 24, had 30 students from 20 companies attend the course. The course is sponsored by the NTS along with the Louisiana Burglar and Fire Alarm Association.
