Ceco Door Products has launched its new $8.5 million
fabrication and assembly line, which represents the largest
capital investment in 2004 by the parent company, ASSA
ABLOY.

Mark Drake, director of manufacturing engineering for Ceco says, “To say that this new line is ‘efficient’ is a gross understatement. Our new automated door line is a 25-year leap in technology for Ceco. It charts a whole new future in the manufacture of steel doors and frames.”

“Sheets of steel are hitting the line every 17 seconds,” says Larry Denbrock, president of Ceco. “In less than 30 minutes, the sheets will become a door.” Thanasis Molokotos, president of ASSA ABLOY North American, adds that this plant is one of the most modern manufacturing facilities in the industry.
