New Technology Puts Intelligence in Camera With DSP Features

Published: October 31, 2006

Panasonic Security Systems of Secaucus, N.J., announces the release of its Super Dynamic III (SDIII) technology. SDIII has been added to the firm’s new i-Pro color network pan/tilt/zoom (p/t/z) camera.  According to Panasonic, the technology has also been added to a complete line of products that support analog- and IP-based platforms, in both domes and fixed cameras.

Panasonic says the SDIII camera line is so smart it can think for itself. Because the intelligence is contained in the camera and not the control system, these cameras will automatically react and continually adjust to situations in real-time without operator intervention.
