ASSA ABLOY’s Identification Technology Group (ITG) has named Ayman Ashour as its COO. Ashour was the founder of Newton International Management LLC and also held positions with Williams PLC, Kidde Int’l and Thorn Security.
Peerless Industries Inc. has promoted Mike Campagna to the position of president, replacing the retiring Ken Dillon. Campagna has been with Peerless for nine years and has served as executive vice president, vice president OEM sales and director of operations.
SimplexGrinnell’s director of industry relations, R. Bruce Fraser, has been elected to the Society of Fire Protection Engineers’ (SFPE) board of directors. Fraser has been with SimplexGrinnell for the past 39 years.
John Coker has been promoted to the newly created position of director of North American sales at Hirsch Electronics. The 25-year veteran of the security industry has been with Hirsch since 1989.
Applied DNA Sciences Inc. has named Kyle Keogh to manage the company’s newly established sales office located in Florida. Keogh co-founded Smart Biometrics Inc., a smart card and biometric technology company, where he invented the world’s first embedded biometric access control device, BioVault.
Genesis Cable Systems LLC has promoted Andy Pluister to vice president of engineering and Joe Nitiss as vice president marketing and business. Pluister held several positions at Belden Inc. before coming to Genesis in 1997.
Prior to joining Genesis in 2002, Nitiss held marketing and sales roles with Emerson Electric Co.
California-based Greater Alarm has named Jason Kelly to head its branch offices in Los Angeles and Orange counties. Besides previous experience at Greater Alarm, Kelly managed three branch offices for Chubb Security Systems Inc. in Texas.
