Honeywell Adds Vindicator Technologies to Its Security Fold
In its third security acquisition in the past three months, Honeywell has acquired electronic security system integrator and developer Vindicator Technologies Inc. Rick Gross, Vindicator’s president, says the deal has been in the works for the past few months after Vindicator shopped around for a potential buyer. “This is by far the best opportunity. Our customers get our name and reputation backed by a bigger organization,” says Gross.
Since May, Honeywell has sold its monitoring business (see story), acquired visitor management system supplier Edgelinx Systems, named Axis Communications as a key supplier, and acquired Genesis Cable Systems.

Bosch Security Systems Expands Headquarters
A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the completion of a six-month expansion and upgrade of Bosch Security Systems’ 90,000-square-foot Fairport, N.Y., facility. Forty recently hired employees join the facility. Home to executive management, product development, engineering and administrative staff, the Fairport location also performs technical research, customer care and technical support.
Bosch has also completed the consolidation of its 200,000-square-foot distribution center in Lancaster, Pa. The facility handles nationwide distribution of Bosch products and houses its CCTV engineering team.
