Firefighter Who Survived 9/11 Attack to Keynote ISC East

The last firefighter to escape the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center will deliver the keynote address at the International Security Conference (ISC) East, taking place from Nov. 3-4 at New York’s Jacob Javits Convention Center. New York Fire Department Battalion Commander Richard Picciotto will give a presentation based on his book “Last Man Down:  A Fireman’s Story.”

NAMTSE Gets a New Name: NASS-EX

The Central Station Alarm Association’s (CSAA) annual midyear gathering of alarm monitoring professionals has a new name. Gone is the NAMTSE acronym for the North American Monitoring Technology Symposium and Exhibition in favor of the event’s new name:  The North American Security Symposium and Exposition, which will go by the acronym NASS-EX. The 2005 NASS-EX is scheduled to take place from May 12 to 15 in Montreal.

NACC Makes Dealer Appreciation an Adventure

Under the ears of Mickey Mouse, the National Alarm Computer Center (NACC) Inc. held its annual Dealer Appreciation Day at the Grand Californian hotel at Anaheim, Calif., Disneyland Resort. NACC contractors learned of new programs and services at a presentation during the day at the hotel, on the grounds of Disney’s California Adventure theme park.
