NFPA Names New Officers to Board of Directors

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has elected new officers to the association’s board of directors.

Paul Fitzgerald of Holliston, Mass., will be changing positions from first vice chair to chair. Fitzgerald is the former president and CEO of Factory Mutual Engineering and Research. He has served as a member of various committees at NFPA and the National Fire Protection Research Foundation. He has also served on Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s Fire Safety board of advisors.

Thomas Jaeger of Great Falls, Va., will move from second vice chair to first vice chair. He is president of Jaeger & Associates LLC, a consulting fire protection engineering firm, and has more than 38 years of experience as a registered engineer.

Philip Stittleburg is currently a partner in the law firm of Jenkins and Stittleburg in La Farge, Wis. He is changing his position from NFPA secretary to second vice chair.

Vincent Bollon, a New York City firefighter for 30 years, is remaining as the association’s treasurer. He is currently in his fifth four-year term as General Secretary-Treasurer for the International Association of Firefighters.

Board member H. Wayne Boyd of Sacramento, Calif., has been elected to serve as secretary. He is currently the president of U.S. Safety & Engineering Corp., an international firm specializing in fire protection and security products. He has served on several NFPA technical committees, including NFPA 72, National Fire Alarm Code and NFPA 720, Installation of Carbon Monoxide (CO) Alarms in Dwelling Units. He is a member of NFPA’s Research and Education Sections and the California State Fire Marshal’s Public Education Committee.
