NICE Systems Ltd. has announced that the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Rush City, Minn., and the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., have selected the NiceVision(tm) digital CCTV recording system to provide continuous video surveillance and recording at their respective correctional facilities. The two contracts encompass hundreds of cameras throughout each facility and together are valued at more than $1.5 million.

“High-risk environments today are demanding more immediate on-line storage of video images,” says Eli Gorovici, director of business development, security and CCTV group for NICE. “These particular facilities are demanding long-term, unattended archiving of a few months of storage for all cameras, before overwriting the digital tapes. NiceVision can easily accommodate these requirements.” NICE Systems is a global provider of integrated digital recording and quality management solutions.
